Picture yourself wandering along a dirt path through Pennsylvania’s greater-than-great outdoors when you stumble upon the most magical natural wonder — a dancing waterfall. There’s no question that Pennsylvania is brimming with outdoor beauty, and these 15 unique and picturesque waterfalls will. Located just minutes from Richmond and Fredericksburg, an easy drive from Hampton Roads/Virginia Beach and a straight shot from the D.C. Area, The Meadow Event Park attracts guests from throughout the commonwealth. Thoroughbred racing legend Secretariat was born here in 1970. Three years later he blazed his way into Triple Crown history.
IMPORTANT:
Rooms & Blooms A kidney-shaped pond measuring 20 feet long x 15 feet wide x 4 feet deep requires about 5,000 gallons of water. Designed by Rooms & Blooms of Toronto, Canada, the pond features a liner made of fish-safe rubber, an underlayment of geotextile cloth, and 4 inches of sand. The water is pumped by an Aquascape pump into a natural filtration system filled with nutrient-absorbing plants.
Splash-n-Dash Aqua Park is located inside Lake McSwain Recreation Area.
There is an entrance fee of $8.00 per vehicle.
Must be 7 years old, at least 45” tall, and a capable swimmer to use the Big Splash course.
Under 7 years old must use the Lil’ Splash area.
ALL PERSONS MUST WEAR AQUA SHOES WHILE IN THE WATER – NO EXCEPTIONS.
